Hey, all!
So I’ve been doing the partial juice fast for the past six days, and it’s been going well. I’ve lost about six pounds (depending on the time of day I weigh myself) and am feeling slightly more energetic than usual. I’ve found that the juice fills me up, and replacing one or two meals a day still keeps me pretty full and satisfied. When I eat “regular food,” I try to eat mindfully and avoid dairy. So far, so good!
Other than that, I’ve been kept busy with my parent’s move. We are moving from our two-bedroom apartment to a three-bedroom row house, which will give the four of us and our three pets plenty of room. I predict that I won’t be home much during the next couple years as I’ll be living in Vermont, but it’s nice to know I’ve got my own room to come home to.
I’m also preparing for my move back to Vermont next week. I will be flying up with my kitten, which will be somewhat of a production. I hope she handles it alright! She just had her kitten surgeries (no babies for my baby!) and has an Elizabethan collar that she will still need during the flight. Maybe that will keep her from wriggling around too much in her carrier while we’re on the plane!
Now, for some general site updates:
Cafe Press
I’m planning on creating a Cafe Press store for the Lymphie Life. For those unfamiliar, Cafe Press is a website that enables you to put your own design on t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, etc and sell them on an as-ordered basis. My goal is to have one of my Graphic Design friends from school to design an awesome logo that I can put on an array of items to sell, and donate the profits to the Lymphatic Research Foundation. I’m super excited to get the ball rolling on this, because I think it could be successful, and together we can raise money – and awareness! – for the cause.
What do you all think? Would you be interested in buying some Lymphie Life gear? If so, what sort of stuff would you like to see the logo on? They offer pretty much any kind of merchandise, so the possibilities are endless. Let me know your thoughts!
Facebook and Twitter
There are a couple people on the Facebook page, but I’d love to see more of you there! It provides a great forum for the Lymphie community to meet and talk, and start some good discussions. For those of you on Facebook, you should consider checking it out.
While I’m shamelessly promoting the social media profiles, I would like to mention the Twitter page :)
That’s pretty much it for now. Again, please let me know what kind of merchandise you’d like to see! When I gather some design ideas, I’ll post them on the site. We can all vote on which one you all like best, and that design will be used on the merch.
Have a happy and healthy weekend, everyone!
been super busy getting ready for the new school year and my move up to Vermont. I arrived home yesterday after a week-long trip to Burlington with my parents, where we moved all my stuff into the apartment. I even got a cat condo for my kitten! I’m so excited albeit a little nervous about living completely on my own. The independence will be good for me, though, because it will force me to foster a lot of good habits, such as cooking and doing yoga. I think I’m ready for it. Time will tell!
